About Jaeyoung Lee

Hello, my name is Jaeyoung Lee.
I am an undergraduate student at Yonsei University,
double majoring in Applied Statistics and Computer Science.
I started from data analysis, but through studying Operating Systems and building infrastructure projects, I became drawn to solving problems at the system level.
My current focus is on real-time systems — designing and optimizing systems that operate reliably under strict resource and deadline constraints.
Recently, I have been exploring how this systems perspective can extend toward robotics.
Technical Interests
- Real-Time Systems: Scheduling theory, task modeling, and extending real-time principles to AI inference and ROS
- System Programming: Operating Systems, resource management, and low-level optimization
- Robotics: Exploring ROS, embedded software, and real-time principles for intelligent physical systems
- AI Systems: Efficient LLM serving and inference under resource constraints
- Infrastructure: Designing and managing distributed systems with cloud, network, and container orchestration foundations
- Data Engineering: Designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and reliable data pipelines

How I Think
- Systems Thinker: I think about how components fit together and why they work.
- Quantitative Lens: My statistics background shapes how I analyze and reason about system behavior.
- Depth over Breadth: I follow curiosity widely, but commit deeply once I find the right problem.
